Le Sentier du Dodo
|
"Le Sentier du Dodo" is a nature trail on Ile aux Aigrettes about 1.5km long.
Students visiting the island will learn about the flora and fauna as well as the conservation measures in line with their Science syllabus. The trail is designed for Form 2 students, but is relevant to other classes.

Children are also briefed about the history, geography and geology of the island.
At stop points along the trails students engage in interactive hands-on activities, exploring themes such as biotic and abiotic factors, habitat, herbivores and carnivores, endemism, food chain, endangered and extinct species, conservation etc.

In order to continually improve "le Sentier du Dodo", teachers and students may be asked to participate in an evaluation exercise following their visit.
Schools are kindly invited to collaborate with the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation for this exercise.
